KATI TANTSUUNISTUS TAANIS

Mina olen Kati, olen 23-aastane Tartu neiu ja minu suur unistus on saada professionaalseks tantsijaks.

Olen tantsinud üle 10 aasta. Alustasin freestyle ja erinevate tanavatantsustiilidega (hip-hop, vogue, house, locking) ning umbes 5 aastat tagasi avastasin enda jaoks koreograafiamaailma ja hakkasin treenima erinevates commercial, contemporary, street & show, heels ja jazz funk stiilides. Sel ajal avastasin ka kõikvõimalikud erinevad võimalused, mida tantsuga saavutada saab ja mul tekkis suur soov tantsijana karjäär ehitada.

Olen ennast täiendanud paljude tippkoreograafide koolitustel ja laagrites nii Eestis kui ka välismaal (Galen Hooks, Ricky Jinks, Kyle Hanagami, Brian Friedman, Jordy Sparidaens, Malou Linders, Lukas McFarlane, Alisa Tsitseronova, Joseph Strawhat, Yanis Marshall, Danielle Polanco jpt). Olen veetnud saalis lugematul arvul tunde ning arvan, et nüüd on aeg teha samm edasi.

Kahjuks pole Eestis street & show ja commercial stiilide jaoks kõrgharidust ega süvaõppeprogrammi. Seetõttu kandideerisin sel aastal 10 kuu pikkusele tantsuprogrammile Taanis Kopenhaagenis. Copenhagen Dance Space programm on Euroopa top 1 tantsuprogramm, kus õpetavad erinevad tippkoreograafid ja mis on suunatud just eelprofessionaalsete tantsijate koolitamisele. Arvan, et just see programm aitab mind lähemale minu unistusele. Kuu aega tagasi saatsin sinna enda videod ning minu suureks rõõmuks võeti mind vastu.

Töötan mitmel töökohal -- koostan interaktiivseid õppematerjale Taani firmas Area9, annan juba kolmandat aastat sügissemestril Tartu Ülikoolis esmakursuslastele praktikume ning viin ka ise tantsutunde läbi ja olen suutnud osa summast kõrvale panna, kuid kahjuks ei ole minul ega mu perel piisavalt raha, et kogu programmi summat katta, seepärast palun just Teie abi.

Kui tunned, et sul on veel tänane heategu tegemata, siis saad siin minu unistustele hoogu anda.

Hey!

My name is Kati, I am 23 years old and come from Tartu, Estonia. I dream of becoming a professional dancer.

I've been dancing for over 10 years. I began with more freestyle-based street styles (hip-hop, voguing, house, locking). About 5 years ago I started taking more choreography classes (commercial, jazz funk, heels as well as contemporary and lyrical). This is when I discovered the more competitive world of dancing, and it's also when the thought of becoming a professional first occurred.

Since then, I've worked really hard to improve myself and taken classes from teachers like Galen Hooks, Ricky Jinks, Kyle Hanagami, Brian Friedman, Jordy Sparidaens, Malou Linders, Lukas McFarlane, Alisa Tsitseronova, Joseph Strawhat, Yanis Marshall, Danielle Polanco and many more. I would like to keep growing and pushing and I feel that Copenhagen Dance Space would be the perfect environment for it.

Copenhagen Dance Space education program is Europe's number one international dance program. It is a 10-month intensive program, that prepares the dancers for the professional industry. I think this education will help me get closer to my dream. I applied for the program about a month ago and I am so happy to say that I was accepted.

I work many jobs. I conduct interactive education materials in a danish company Area9, I have been teaching an introduction to computer science course for first year students at the University of Tartu for three years now and I also teach dance workshops. I have been able to save some of the cost, but sadly me and my family don't have enough money to cover the whole price of the program. This is why I'm asking for your help.
