Kat Being Frank needs equipment.

In December last year, I had tests done which showed there was a good possibility that I had multiple sclerosis. While other diseases were ruled out, the lesions that were found on my brain appeared different. Therefore, they didn't want to give me a final diagnosis until I had a second scan, six months later. The time has now come to get the scan. My symptoms have progressed and there is no denying that I am in fact sick. While doing research, I found that while there is some great help out there to raise awareness in other countries, there doesn't seem to be a lot here in South Africa. Not as much as I hope there to be. While I don't want to limit my reach to South Africa, this is my home and people here need to be made aware. I didn't think this could happen to me. I'm sure you don't think it could happen to you either.

My plan is to film my journey. I will be honest. I will be open. You will not only see my good days, you will see my bad days too. You will see me be happy and hopeful, and you will see me cry and be in pain. I want you to be able to see what is involved. From the very start, and I plan to continue with this project for as long as I am able to hold up a camera. I would like to do something to help raise awareness.

In order for me to proceed, I need equipment. Unfortunately, my little cellphone is not up to the task and it is only due for an upgrade in 2 years. I need a proper camera, microphone, light, tripod, 2nd battery and a few such things to get me started. I am looking at good quality, yet not top of the range equipment which I have found at a local photography store.
