Kappa Sigma Green Fraternity House

Description:

As a result of continual efforts by the Psi Chapter House Corporation of our Kappa Sigma Psi Chapter to identify ways to better the fraternity experience of our brothers and to extend our successful presence at the University of Maine, and surrounding local community indefinitely, the Psi Chapter House Campaign was established. The Campaign will raise money over several years solely for the construction of a new chapter house with the house dedication ceremony set to be conducted at Homecoming 2021 in connection with the one hundred and thirty-fifth anniversary of our Chapter. The new chapter house will be one of, it not the first, LEED certified Green Fraternity House in the Nation.

Over the past 127 years, the Psi Chapter of Kappa Sigma has shaped leaders and helped college men become an overall better person. Our four pillars: Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service guide the way we live our lives to better ourselves, our local communities, and the nation we live in today. We are trying to take one step further in creating a completely green fraternity house to set an example for the rest of the nation in these changing times. In the past 10 years, the Psi Chapter has donated over $20,000 to local philanthropies as well as our national philanthropy: the Fisher House and Kappa Sigma's Military Heroes Campaign (links below).

Rewards:

Foundation - Level 1

         Donation of $1,499 dollars & below

- Will have name placed on a brick located within the walkway leading to the House or the Patio.

Star & Crescent – Level 2

         Donation of $1,500 – $2,499 dollars

- Will have name placed on a granite tile within the main corridor of the Chapter House.

Mitchell B. Wilson – Re-colonization – Level 3

         Donation of $2,500 - $4,999 dollars

  - Can have Bedrooms, Advisor Suite, Alumni Suites, Alumni Memorial, Alumni Gallery, Front Airlock, Entryway, or the Elevator named after donor.

Lincoln Colcord – Maine Stein Song – Level 4

         Donation of $5,000 - $9,999 dollars

- Can have Lower Recreation, Parlor, Lounge, Dining, Colonnade Gallery or Patio named after donor.

- May also choose to have any lower level room named after donor.

Gilbert Vickery - 1st Grand Master – Level 5

         Donation of $10,000 – $14,999 dollars

- Can have the Chapter Hall, Library, or Kitchen named after donor.

- May also choose to have any lower level room named after donor.

Psi Chapter House

         Donation of $15,000 dollars or above

- May choose any room in the house to be named after donor.
