Kai the Hitchhiker Legal Fundraiser

On February 1, 2013; Kai saved women from a crazy homicidal white supremacist. 3 months later, he woke up on a floor after drinking a drugged drink; and defended himself against a sexual assault. Unfortunately for Kai, the rapist was a Clark, New Jersey lawyer: with 50 years worth of connections in NJ legal and law enforcement circles. The investigators, many of whom personally knew the rapist, destroyed evidence of rape and drugs; and smeared Kai in the media. After 6 years in jail waiting for trial, Kai was tried in the same county where the rapist practiced law and had all his judge an prosecutor connections. Obviously, they didn't want to admit that their buddy assaulted vagrants. Of course Kai didn't get a fair trial. Kai was falsely convicted of murder after the judge told the jury that Kai had the burden to prove intoxication (and therefore his whole case) by "clear and convincing evidence." (Which the investigators, friends of the rapist, destroyed). This campaign is to help Kai overturn that false conviction, and thereby stand up for our Constitutional Right to be innocent unless proven guilty BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. It shouldn't just be the 7 out of 8 rapists who beat their charges and are presumed innocent: we should all be presumed innocent if we kill a rapist in self defense, too.
Because the rapist was so well-connected in New Jersey Courts, and those connections have so much to lose in reputation if a Court confirms that their buddy was a rapist: Kai may have to keep fighting through the appeal process until he gets to Federal Court on petition for Habeus Corpus.
The money raised will be used to buy law books; pay filing fees for legal actions; hire legal assistance (hopefully even a lawyer); pay copy costs and postage; get the facts of the case out to the public; and keep Kai alive with the vitamins and supplies he needs to be healthy.
