K9 Dante needs immediate spinal surgery

K9 Dante was injured while on duty early Friday morning. While on break, Dante and his handler were playing ball and as Dante chased the ball he subsequently crashed into a metal object leaving him almost lifeless. The damage to his #2 and #3 vertebra are pressing on his spinal cord and he needs immediate surgery with a neurologist. The police department does not have funding for this nor is this something that is ever budgeted for. We have been asked to step in and help get K9 Dante the surgery he needs immediately. Please consider donating whatever you can so that together, we can help K9 Dante. We do not know what the total cost of surgery will be as it is a weekend and it is a very cautious and in-depth surgery. We don’t want to ask for too much or too little.
