Lucky Pits Rescue is very proud to announce that we have been contacted and asked to put together a donation drive to help the brave ‘Tactical Explosive Detection Dogs’ unit which is currently serving the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. There are 43 dogs in this unit, all of whom are more than deserving of some toys and treats to enjoy for when they are not in the field working. Lucky Pits will be sending as many care packages as needed overseas and would like to ask anyone who can contribute to this wonderful cause to contact me personally. Ideally, we would like to see kongs, tug toys, chewy treats and other ’tough’ toys being those that are donated. This fund account was put together specifically for the K4K9 Project and is for those folks who may or may not live outside of the Chicagoland area and are unable to physically donate an item but would still like to donate to this cause. Any amount raised in this account will be used towards purchasing donation items to include in the packages being sent overseas. This project means a lot to me personally, as I come from a Military family and my father is currently going on his 4th year in Afghanistan. So I would like to personally thank everyone in advance who participates in this project. And I’d like to say thank you to all of the brave individuals that serve and protect this country. Four legged and two!
Any questions, feel free to email me at [email protected]
