Army Veteran and Cane Corso Ranch need your help!

Justice is needed for the Cane Corso Project 16 to get the farm livable. Help Army Veteran, Joshua Strand, get back on his feet.

We need your help to get Joshua Strand do what he loves best - raising the twins and saving dogs on his farm. The farm in Currie, NC and working farm with dog rescues and a non-profit. The dogs are truly part of the farm family, each with their own roles and Josh rehabilitates the "dangerous" and "lost cause" pups. He hasn't met a dog yet that isn't worth saving.

Even with all this love, Joshua Strand and the Cane Corso Project faced unimaginable heartbreak when he was finally granted access to the farm. His soon-to-be ex-wife had prevented him from visiting for months. In court on January 11, she said she buried 16 of their dogs. When Josh and animal control arrived at the farm, it was much worse than we could have ever imagined.

The few dogs left standing were locked away with no food or water. They were emaciated and are in need of vet care.

Justice is needed. These poor dogs died excruciating deaths instead of living their best lives with their handler, who they loved and trusted to take care of them. No warrants have been issued, and justice cannot be found while their killer is still free.

We need your help to get Josh back on his feet so he can fight for what is right bring the neglectful killer to justice all while doing what he loves best - raising the twins and saving dogs.

We need hands on the farm to help rebuild.

There are no kennels left, and the buildings were mostly destroyed. The house is a shell of a home and needs significant work to make it safe and livable for the children.

When a Loon found itself in my driveway, and as much as this lover of all animals hates to admit this, I was a little afraid of such a big bird that kept trying to peck or bite me, Joshua dropped what he was doing and drove over to my house and within mere seconds, scooped the injured bird up in his arms and promptly took the bird to the Sanctuary.

This guy always seems to be in the right place at the right time when an animal is in need. He has found countless dogs anywhere from near his property, all the way up Hwy 421 to Wilmington, and helped reunite them with their owners or helped many dogs that were dumped and never reclaimed, to find a forever home.

He found Mommie, a VERY pregnant girl near his home and asked for my help with her and the whelping. I was more than happy to be able to do something for someone who is always "Johnny on the spot" for so many of us locally and so many animals.

This is a guy who for HOURS crawled on his belly into a culvert to save a litter of puppies.

Heck, he even showed up out of the blue when my team and I were trying to capture the 14 River Puppies, all the way up at the Sampson County/Bladen County Line at a boat ramp that is nowhere near any homes.

This guy has a heart of gold and I am so blessed to call him my friend."
