Justice for NorthRegentRx

We are raising funds to help pay for legal fees and to help stay afloat while we fight an injustice brought against us by our own government. In 2006 we were a young herbal company just taking off in the market; we had our government licensing and were on the way.  Sales were going great and growing everyday, bills were being paid and there was savings in the bank. We were on top of the world, we were building a business that one day we believed our children would take over....and then....July 12, 2006... The US FDA and Health Canada accused us of selling a contaminated product.  We immediately provided clear evidence that they had made a mistake and expected it would all be cleared up but instead they proceeded to inform us that we must stop selling our product. As good little Canadians we did as we were told. Even when their own tests confirmed that the product did not contain the accused ingredient they continued to prohibit us from selling the product.  We kept trying selling other products but once the government accused us of wrongdoing the stores we sold to started dropping off...they were afraid to do business with us. Stores that carried our products were being harassed by inspectors and did not want the trouble. We were facing the same harassment with all our products and our site licence was in danger. Finally by 2010 customers had dwindled to next to nothing and we were officially out of business. Over the last six years we have reached out to numerous department heads at Health Canada. Repeatedly we asked them to look into this but no one is interested in the truth it seems. Our local MP tried several times to get some action but he too was ignored. If they ignore you long enough you are suppose to go away. Instead we went to several lawyers all who agreed our case was extremely strong but none were willing to take it on with out a large retainer.  Then we were told we needed to spend several thousand dollars to get a business valuation done (showing how much we were making and how much we had lost) With the statute of limitations fast running out we complied.   We sold off everything we could (except our home) just to see justice served and to have our day in court. At last running out of time and funds we filed a lawsuit against Health Canada. We have our first hearing in March but we need to raise funds to survive till then.

We will share our statement of claim with anyone that is interested in seeing exactly how far the departments of Health Canada will go to cover their butts. What the Natural Health Products Directorate and the Inspectorate did to us STINKS and we need your help.
