What was meant to be a fun and relaxing night with friends turned into a nightmare for Arnold Jacobson, who many of you may know as Jake.
Jake was drugged and sexually assaulted by a trusted friend.
The next day, he confronted his rapist, and the two ended up in a physical altercation in which neither men were seriously injured.
After this confrontation, he confided in me, and we immediately went to Alexian Brothers Hospital for appropriate testing, including urine and blood work.
Unfortunately, Jake's rapist filed charges against him, and he was arrested shortly after. He has been wrongfully imprisoned since the first week of June 2017, while his rapist is still walking free. Jake is currently awaiting the results of his tests, which will not be available for months.
In short, Jake was raped, and now he is in jail.
I am reaching out to friends, family, and the community for help. I am raising money to hire a well respected and highly experienced attorney to help Jake with the charges he is facing and also with prosecuting his attacker. I fear that a public defender will not be able to help Jake as much as a more experienced attorney.
Anything that you can contribute is greatly appreciated.

But we still need to keep moving forward! So please keep spreading the word! We need all the help we can get. Thank you!
