Just need some help until I’m back on my feet.

Hi everyone,

I've never done anything like this before as I've never felt able to reach out & ask for help but I'm going through a tough time right now & I need some help staying afloat.

I've just lost my job which isn't ideal & it could take weeks for me to find something new. I'm living 1500 miles away from home without any savings as they were stolen by an abusive ex, I have no support system here in terms of family & I've just signed a 12 month contract on an apartment I now can't afford. Please don't judge me for reaching out & asking for this kind of help, this isn't something I would normally do but I don't want to become homeless or in a bad way.

I have mental health issues including anxiety so losing my job has now caused me to become very panicked, worried, anxious & I feel mentally drained. I know how difficult it is to find work during current times so I need to try & take away just a little bit of the stress. It's taking a lot of courage to even post this as I know that people will probably think badly of me, think I'm lazy or scrounging but I'm just a nice person who's fallen into a not so nice situation. I can't just pack up & go back to the UK due to Covid & also due to the fact that I have an appointment here, I'm building a life so I don't just want to give up. I'm a survivor & a fighter, I don't just give up.

My goal is to raise enough money to cover my rent which will take some pressure off me whilst I look for jobs, go to interviews & get myself back on my feet. Any donation amount would be very much appreciated & I will be forever grateful to anyone who helps me during this difficult time.

I'm 34 years old & I'd literally give the shirt off my back to someone else in need - I'm not a bad person, I'm just going through a hard time & I'm in need of some help & support.
