Campaign Story
Event:
Our incredibly brave 13 year old daughter (and a not so brave mummy) will be facing the monsters of the deep, to help her daddy who faces the monster that is Multiple Sclerosis daily. She will be swimming with sharks, without a cage, to raise funds to adapt her house for her disabled daddy.
About:
this page has been set up to receive donations which will help Neil to regain his independance. Any money raised will go towards building a bedroom and wet room for this ex-navy man to be able to live a normal life. Due to red tape, and his decision to keep working, Neil doesnt tick the right boxes to be able to qualify for grant help. Without any help, the family are left to raise £50,000 to adapt the family home suitably for Neil and his wheelchair.
History:
In February 2013, our lives changed overnight. My husband, Neil, was told he would never walk again after his MS spead to his spine. Neil was 38 years old. Two years on, and we are still adapting to life with a wheelchair. The biggest struggle that we have is our home, as it is not suitable for a wheelchair. An extension and major adaptions are required, to allow Neil to lead a regular working, family life.
Why we need your help:
Unfortunately, as Neil continues to work we are not entitled to any help. We believe that Neil working is absolutely the right thing to do, and would like the help of those who support us in this thought.

I can't make the quiz night being held this Saturday 3rd October but am happy to make a donation so that you can hopefully get your house converted to make things easier for you while you battle the terrible disease.
