Ante la difícil situación actual que estamos viviendo en nuestra linda Guatemala, y en especial el personal medico y sanitario de los hospitales de la Ciudad capital como en sus departamentos, la ciudadanía tiene dentro de sus posibilidades, la oportunidad de minimizar el impacto negativo de la infección por COVID-19 (Coronavirus), en distintas formas o canales de ayuda.

Esta campaña de movilización y recolecta ciudadana es de INICIATIVA PROPIA, no vinculada a NINGUNA entidad privada y dirigida al personal medico y sanitario que no cuentan con los insumos necesarios para protegerse, principalmente aquellos hospitales y lugares donde se concentra un mayor número de casos; y como canal de ayuda a otras entidades, recursos y/o instituciones sociales con personal expuesto y relacionado con el cuidado de pacientes en riesgo. Queremos destinar a ellos kits que contengan todos los insumos necesarios tales como trajes de protección, botas quirúrgicas, mascarillas kN95 y caretas para apoyarles en su misión de proteger su salud como la de la población afectada.

Nuestra intención al tener la posibilidad de contacto directo con compañeros y compañeras que se encuentran en primera línea de batalla en esta crisis, en áreas de urgencias, UCIs, plantas de hospitalización, consultas externas, centros de salud, ambulancias, residencias, albergues, etc… es servir como canal alternativo de ayuda desde la ciudadanía para cubrir necesidades insatisfechas. La finalidad es hacerles llegar directamente material (mascarillas KN95, guantes, trajes de protección, batas impermeables, botas y gorros quirúrgicos, etc..) con el dinero recaudado para cumplir con la PROTECCIÓN y AISLAMIENTO frente a este agente infeccioso. Queremos aliviar la situación de los profesionales y pacientes, así como también tratar de minimizar el impacto negativo en su labor diaria, y que dada la coyuntura actual se prevé que se extienda por más tiempo.

El gremio medico y su equipo sanitario nos necesitan, por lo que cualquier gesto de apoyo tendrá un impacto para ellos , y está en nuestras manos poder sumar para superar la guerra que nos ha tocado vivir. Cualquier idea constructiva o sugerencia será bienvenida.

Given the current difficult situation that we are living in, citizens of our beautiful Guatemala have the opportunity to help the medical and health personnel of the hospitals of the capital city. Citizens have the chance to minimize the negative impact if Covid-19 (Coronavirus) in different forms or channels of help.

This campaign of mobilization and citizen collection is of ITS OWN INITIATIVE, not linked to ANY private entity and directed to medical and health personnel who do not have the necessary supplies to protect themselves, mainly those hospitals where a greater number of cases is concentrated; and as a channel of help to other entities, resources and / or social institutions with exposed personnel related to the care of patients at risk. We want to allocate to them kits that contain all the necessary supplies such as protective suits, surgical boots, kN95 masks and masks to support them in their mission of protecting their health as well as that of the affected population.

Our intention to have the possibility of direct contact with colleagues who are on the front line of battle in this crisis, in emergency areas, ICUs, hospitalization floors, outpatient clinics, health centers, ambulances, residences, shelters, etc. … Is to serve as an alternative channel of help from citizens to cover unmet needs. The purpose is to send them directly material (KN95 masks, gloves, protective suits, waterproof gowns, boots and surgical caps, etc.) with the money collected to comply with the PROTECTION and ISOLATION against this infectious agent. We want to alleviate the situation of professionals and patients, as well as try to minimize the negative impact on their daily work, which given the current situation is expected to last longer.

The medical team and its healthcare team need us, so any gesture of support will have an impact for them, and it is in our hands to be able to add to overcome the war that we have had to live. Any constructive ideas or suggestions are welcome.
