JUMPSTART/STEM FOR TEENS IN THE HOOD

JOIN MMTH as we launch our summer JUMP-START -STEM Camp on June 17th. MMTH will open its doors six weeks this summer to young men and women in Baltimore ages 8-18 for two - three week sessions, for activities, reading, writing, mathematics, and STEM lessons. Our students will have a day camp visit to Camp Letts, Y-day visits, and field trips. And last, we have a wonderful out-of-town trip to Tennessee to the African American Civil Rights Museum and a HBCU. Our young men and women will end their summer prepared for the incoming school year, and enriched with new adventures and experiences.

Did you know that 23% of Baltimore students are reading below grade level? Did you know that more than 34% graduate from high school unable to read? Did you know that more than 30% of Baltimore teens are either not employed or under employed.

MMTH through its Out of School Time Program works to improve the exposure and education of at-risk male teens in Baltimore Maryland. We do that by offering 4 days of lessons and activities (Monday - Thursday). On the first and third Saturday of each month our young men participate in enrichment activities such as speakers, STEM, yoga, CPR, and other athletic activities.

This summer we are opening our Summer day camp to young ladies in Baltimore. MMTH is dedicated to improving the lives of Baltimore Youth. We are asking you to stand in the GAP.

THE CHALLENGE. Donate $100 to this campaign and tag 10 of your friends and have them donate $100. Your funding will go directly to our summer JUMP-START AND STEM CAMP.
