Just watched and replayed several times the devastating news regarding former NHS nurse Julie O'Connor who has passed away at 49. She went to six smear tests in 3 years, which all showed her as all clear, she and her husband weren't convinced so she consulted a private hospital and within 30 seconds of her consultation with them, she was diagnosed with having cervical cancer and as I have already said she has now sadly passed away. I am not slating the NHS, as I know how under pressure they are, but I truly believe that there are far too many administration workers within the NHS whom are on very well paid salaries, that are hell bent on financial statistics and keeping costs down and therefore very good doctors and nurses are not allowed to do the job they have trained hard and long for. Everything nowadays is about costs, there is no longer any empathy and understanding within the job because professional people are getting bullied into believing that it's all about figures and not about caring. I have good friends within the industry and I apologise if this comes across as detrimental to what you are doing, it's not I promise it's just sadly a true reality and just another nail in the coffin in what was once revered as one of the great British institutions. R.i.p Julie O'Connor god bless xx
