Hello! We are a group of final year students from Temasek Polytechnic doing our Final Year Project. Our film aims to achieve a common understanding amongst family members after going through hardships. What's interesting about our film is that we use MMA competition as a form of coping mechanism of oneself.

GENRE:

Family, Action, Drama.

STORY LOGLINE:

An injured MMA fighter must confront his toxic mother before his big fight or else his unchecked rage will lead to his downfall.

STORY CONCEPT/ANGLE:

ADAM is an MMA fighter who struggles between helping his emotionally abusive MOTHER with her kueh stall. His mother disapproves of fighting but he still practises MMA to vent his anger caused by her. After an argument about using money he've won from fights to pay the bills, he had enough of her. An opportunity to get away from her comes in the form of an MMA tournament, where the winner receives a huge cash prize money and being scouted to train overseas. He could kill two birds with one stone, by giving his mother his winnings and also to escape from her. However, he gets into an accident spraining his hand. He just needs to rest for the tournament, but he won’t be able to contain his rage while resting at home if he can’t practise MMA. These circumstances, might cost him his chance at freedom & peace. This fight could lead to different endings and it's up to Adam to go through it.

This film aims to achieve this - Sometimes we all just need to say what's on our mind ; Don't suffer in silence by bottling up your emotions.

It could potentially help one's relationship with their family and as an MMA film, cinematography and makeup are very important, it is crucial to bring out the visuals of the film therefore, getting support from people will be very helpful to us.

Lastly, we hope that our last journey in TP will be a fruitful one and to showcase our end product.
