JR’s Battle Has Ended…

JR has lost his battle…no more pain and suffering.

On October 21, 2020 at around 5:30 pm, JR has joined our Creator. It is with deep sadness that we let you know of his passing. He fought a good fight but he has lost it. We are grieving the loss of a good man, my husband and Blair’s Tatay. But I trust in God’s plan.

I don’t know if I can I ever move on. Sobrang sakit. Nawalan ako ng katuwang sa buhay. Para akong naputulan ng paa. Kahit ayaw mo akong umiyak, hindi ko magawang pigilan. Di maubos ubos ang luha ko. Punong puno ng takot kasi wala ka na. Akala ko sasamahan mo pa ko sa pagtanda. Mahirap man, pero pinapangako ko, lahat ng pangarap mo, lahat ng plano mo para kay Blair, isa-isa kong tutuparin. Salamat Love, my Kulas, my baby! Salamat sa Diyos kasi pinahiram ka nya sa akin..sa amin.. kahit saglit na panahon lang. God loves you so much kaya kinuha ka na Niya sa amin. Mahal na mahal kita Love! Our life will never be the same without you. Rest now, till we meet again…

While JR was in the ICU, we have raised around Php730,000 in total from online and offline donations. Total hospital bill reached Php1.5M. Kaya’t napakalaking bagay po sa amin ang inyong mga pinaabot na donasyon. Patuloy pa rin pong dumagsa ang tulong para naman po sa burol at pagpapalibing. We could not have done it without your kind hearts and generosity.

Where there is FAITH, there is HOPE.

I am Larinell Lardizabal-Duazo. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter and wife to a loving husband, JR ENCARNACION DUAZO. Last April 20,2020, JR has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Hypertensive Nephrosclerosis. It has affected both of his kidneys. His body has weakened preventing him from providing for the family. Since that day, he has been undergoing dialysis 3x a week. He already had four surgeries since April - three (3) Internal Jugular (IJ) catheter reinsertion and AV Fistula. Through the help of friends and family, we were able to keep up with the expenses then. As for those who have knowledge about the disease, it is lifetime unless we can manage to provide for the kidney transplant, which is very costly.

On October 5, my birthday, I have to rush my husband to the hospital as he was having a state of delirium. He is not responding to my voice. Whatever he eats, he vomits. This pandemic makes it even harder for us to get the immediate medical attention that we need. JR was considered PUI at the time we got to the hospital. We needed to get him cleared for Covid. We rushed to RITM to have him tested. Pending the result, the closest hospital that was able to accommodate us was The Premiere Hospital in Sucat, Parañaque. A day after, we got the NEGATIVE result for covid. JR’s sugar was too low as well as his hemoglobin and platelet count. He also had blood transfusion. As of now, he is in the ICU and on NGT to force feed him. This is needed to prep him for dialysis and undergo another surgery. His fistula is not working and needs replacement. The IJ catheter needs to be reinserted to treat the infection.
