Journey to The Voice UK 2019

Hello everyone.! I am starting with this fund raising to achieve and chase my biggest dream.

First of all let me begin with a quick self-introduction.

My name is Rico Setiabudi Skandar. I'm a Singaporean. I started music since I was 5. I had always dreamt to live and breathe music since I was young. However, as time goes by, situations changed and my responsibilities drifted me further away from achieving my aspirations in music.

My father passed away in 2011 while I was still in school. Several years later, I graduated from college and I started working to support my mother. Currently, I am the sole breadwinner in my household. Life has always been about working and paying bills at the end of every month. I was not able manage to push myself to chase after my dreams.

I have always believed that opportunities may appear when one least expects it. I could not believe my eyes when I was accepted into the competition. It really means a lot for me to be participating in one of the biggest singing competitions in the world.

Unfortunately, due to my financial situation, I am not able to afford all the expenses needed for this journey. Hence, I will require additional support from more people to allow me to chase my dreams. Do view my videos in the YouTube links below and if you think I deserve to participate in The Voice UK this year, I would be more than happy to receive any amount of donations from you. With your support, I am hoping to put Singapore music on the world map through such an illustrious and prestigious competion such as The Voice. As of such, I am also currently trying to earn as much as possible to be able to make this unbelievable dream a reality.

If I am not able to reach the target funds, I will donate all proceeds to a local charity.
