Journey To Russia

Hi, My name is Nikhil and I am 24 residing in Mumbai. I work full time at Yahoo Bing Contextual Ads Network (Media.net). I wanted to be a Travel Journalist but due to family reasons I could never take up a full time travel job. I wish to travel the world & more than that I want to be an inspiration to all of those who are hesitant to travel or chose travel industry as a career so I didn't give up & I started traveling part time & whenever I could. I started my own blog page and a community page on Instagram where the sole motive is to share stories by travellers to inspire people to travel. I have worked as a weekend trip co-ordinator The Land of Wanderlust just to earn extra money for the trips that I plan to take.

Its been 3 years that I have been traveling solo to as many places as I could. I first started exploring and taking solo trips to hill stations in Maharashtra and thereafter started exploring the North of India to cities like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal, Punjab. Last year I went for my first international solo trip to Thailand where I covered the city of Bangkok & Pattaya. Last December I then took a solo trip to Vietnam and covered the Ho Chi Minh City.

I now plan to take a trip to Russia along with a new concept to monetise my blog. The plan is to make the site more resourceful with posts covering itineraries, videos, photos, suggestions, stories which could help people plan their upcoming trips. This is only possible if we shift the blog from

Free version to a paid version. Also this year I am planning to take a trip to Russia which could me more expensive but could add a great content and resource for the blog. The sole purpose of signing up for this fundraising campaign Is that I wanna try. I wish to make a difference. I wish to grow but the growth rate is too less. Also one of the bitter truth is that we live a country where turning up as a successful blogger is rare as compared to other countries in the world. We have limitations on our passport as compared to other country passport holders. But the truth is all these things never stopped me.
