We are almost all sorted!! THANK YOU for all the donations.

Joshua is very excited now and also a little nervous for his trip. He truly can't believe all the "stuff" we have had to get to prepare for this voyage!

Joshua is a committed scout and passionate about sailing. He is 15 yrs old and he and his cousin Ewan, 16 yrs old, have been accepted as part of the team to sail the Saint Helena race in December. JML Rotary Scout and the young crew will depart Cape Town on 26 December 2018 with two weeks to reach Saint Helena Island and fly home on 16 January 2019 after exploring the island with local scouts for a few days while waiting for their flight home. If you are able to help make this dream come true for Joshua your contribution will be sincerely appreciated. Every little bit helps!

Who would have thought that it was so important to look after yourself from the inside and outside on a two week sailing trip!

I have a full program of nutrition supplements and shakes for Josh to help relax muscles and replenish energy while he is sailing including healthy snacks that also replace the "good carb" energy he needs each day on the yacht.

Salt water for two weeks.... eeeek!!! he has barrier cream, face cream, sun block face stick, lip balm with SPF, skim irritation cream... oh I forgot the ZAMBUCK! Think he will be just fine without me.

Thanks so much to all of you for your very generous donations. Joshua is now kitted out with offshore foul weather gear and boots!

He smiled from ear to ear when he was trying on all the gear.
