Campaign Story
This is Joseph Manzanillo. He's 31 years old and is a kidney transplant since May 31, 2005.
Everything is going well until Covid19 happened. He did not go outside the apartment in Sampaloc, Manila due to the situation.
We were planning to stay in Manila until we save money for our supposed wedding on December 2020. But because he was laid from work due to the pandemic situation as well, we decided to go home in Ilocos Norte for good.
We thought everything will be better once we are in Ilocos Norte. However, after our 14 day quarantine, he still got fever and was feeling a lot of things. So, we consulted a doctor via online and she requested for CBC and Chest X-ray. We immediately got the results and it was shown that his hemoglobin is 55. So, we immediately go to a hospital and we were later on transferred to MMMH and MC , a hospital in Batac, Ilocos Norte, because he needed to be isolated, and tested for Covid19. It was later noted he was negative but he has signs on Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 3 and Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
We met Dr. Mejia, his nephrologist, and since then, she's been guiding all throughout our journey. Thanks God for knowing her.
To cut the story short, we are usually confined or for checkup in Black Nazarene where Dr. Mejia is a resident Doctor, or we are in Hi Precision for laboratory tests. We already spent a lot and we know we can't do this without God who is a provider.
Dialysis was not an option until signs of Kidney Rejection are being evident. His hemoglobin is very low, his blood pressure is super high, his Sodium is unstable, His potassium is high, and he is increasing in fluids. But still Praise God, he can still urinate and poop.
He will start his dialysis on November 17, 2020 to help his lose his fluids and all other signs of Kidney Rejection. But the main goal is for him to have a 2nd transplant on 1st Quarter of 2021. We want this to happen and we believe this will happen through the help of God. We are praying for donor and targeting 2.5M as this is the total cost of transplant from matching until the operation.
His family is funding the previous costs but we are already having a difficulty with almost every week of confinement, check ups and laboratory tests.
We are humbly asking for your help. Joseph is still young, and he still dreams of having his own family, and continuing his life. He is fighting and we have a strong faith that we will overcome this temporary challenge with God. Because we know with Him, nothing is impossible. We are thanking you in advance for being with our journey.

Update: As of now, we have reached 25% of our target fund from our family, friends, and even from people we don't know. It was just last November so we are really thankful to God for touching. . . . .
