Joseph’s Holiday

Campaign Story
My son Joseph is 5 years old. He suffers from Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. This condidtion has left him unable to sit up unaided or walk. He is also registered as partially sighted and struggles with fine motor tasks. The gift of being able bodied pales into insignificance when I see Joseph try with all his might to achieve a task that you or I would naturally take for granted. As Joseph grows he gets heavier, making it more difficult for his Mum and me to get him up and down the stairs. To this end we are having a ground floor extension to our home which will enable disabled access for Joseph and a lift to get him upstairs. A small grant is provided by the local authority, but the bulk of the alterations are funded by us. This has had a fairly significant impact on finances this year and I would like us to have a holiday and be able to take Joseph, his Mum, sister Sophie (aged 8 who plays a star part in helping out with Joseph) and myself.
