Jose Vega, my Father, on Monday morning of March 4th, after taking shower to get to work suddenly complained about sudden dizziness and stabbing pain at the back of his neck. We was rushed to the Emergency Room and was given basic medication, went to two MRI tests and was diagnosed by the doctors to have suffered a Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).

SAH is a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding into the space surrounding the brain. SAH can be caused by a ruptured aneurysm, AVM, or head injury. One-third of patients will survive with good recovery; one-third will survive with a disability; and one-third will die).

While my Dad remains conscious and stable, both the neurologist and neuro surgeon recommended that my Dad go under Endovascular coiling (a minimally invasive technique, which means an incision in the skull is not required to treat the brain aneurysm.) the soonest possible time to prevent possible rupture of the veins.

Unfortunately, the expected cost of the surgery, hospital expenses and recovery is overwhelming for the family at this time. Expenses from laboratory tests, ER procedures is racking up as of this writing or post.

So my dear family and friends, we are humbly calling for your support at this challenging times and need any financial support to be able to help with the surgery and other hospital expenses. My dad is currently admitted at Intensive Care Unit of the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa City, Philippines.
