Dear Friends,

Hello to you all and welcome to Jordan's Freedom Fund, I manage this fundraising campaign (as well as a Facebook, Hotmail, and website for Jordan M. Rice-W65429). Now more about my dear friend;

My name is Brianna Adams and currently I have been assisting Jordan M. Rice #W65429. Mr. Rice has put me in charge of his affairs as CEO of the Committee to free him and I am trying to bring awareness to his case. Jordan was convicted of murder (Date of crime: 09/25/1995 in Brockton, MA), his sentence was life without parole for murder with 19-20 years concurrently for arson (Plymouth County). However, numerous pieces of evidence were strategically left out of trial and we feel that the outcome would have been extremely different if the jury had known about the affidavit of Dr. Leslie D. Johnson among other things during trial (He was sentenced on 10/20/1998 after a six day trial).

Dr. Johnson preformed the DNA “dot blot” to match swabs taken from the victim’s vagina to Mr. Rice. Dr. Johnson explained in her affidavit that at least 2 or more donor samples were found inside the victim making it difficult to identify Jordan as the sole suspect. She also pointed out that there was no DNA evidence found that could link Jordan to the victim’s apartment that night at the scene of the crime. Over 25 DNA samples of the apparent killer were found at the scene of the crime and these DNA samples did not match Jordan Martel Rice or the victim. This entire affidavit was LEFT out of Jordan's trial, the jury was NOT given this information.

Also, Dr. Martin Tracy, PhD testified in great detail as to what happened to a bloody palm print that was destroyed by FBI agent Randall Fitzwater during the active investigation. This bloody palm print was a critical piece of evidence in Jordan's case. In addition to Dr. Tracy’s affidavit, in my possession is the affidavit of Ron H. Rice.

This document also states that State Police Chemist Patricia Beehan testified at trial that she took a bloody palm print on a coffee cup from the crime lab to FBI Agent Randall Fitzwater whom was conducting a seminar. Agent Fitzwater allegedly destroyed said print but was never called to testify at trial to this alleged destruction.

Post-conviction Agent Fitzwater was contacted by Appellate Counsel Donald Harwood’s Private Investigator Ronald Rice where said agent denied any involvement or knowledge of said print destruction. Mr. Rice (Jordan) informed me that there was no pretrial discovery to the alleged print destruction and during Beehan’s testimony on the second day of trial discovery is when he learned of it. Much to our shock and dismay this information was left out of trial therefore the jurors never knew this had happened.

To add insult to injury there was also an apparent sample mix-up and the Mass state crime lab which added to Jordan's wrongful conviction thus, here we are now trying to free him from this kangaroo court disaster.

Currently Jordan's case has caught the eye of the Innocence Project of New York and the CPCS Innocence Program here in Massachusetts however, there is no guarantee that these organizations will accept his case for further review which is frustrating.

This is why we have decided to take fate into our own hands and try fundraising, we are fighting for a person's life and right to freedom. It costs money to reopen a case but we are in fact hopeful.

Yours Truly,

B.A.
