Jordan’s Goes to Italy 2013!

Hi family and friends,

I am excited about an opportunity to travel to Italy and assist with a sports and arts camp for kids!  When I started babysitting at 14, volunteering in children's ministry, helping with Vacation Bible School for the past few summers and now working at Gymnastix Training Center (Buford, GA); never did I think it would grow into an opportunity to go abroad and help kids have fun and learn about Christ!

My church, Community of Faith (Buford, GA) was asked to participate in this trip specifically because we have a few ex-professional athletes, as well as some promising young athletes and artists who want to give their time and testimony about Christ to others.

As a PK (Pastor's Kid), there is incredible pressure from others to think and behave a certain way. However, my desire to help kids is my choosing.  My parents have always emphasized being the right person over doing the right things.  This made it easy to choose to be involved in church and work with children.  In Italy, I will use what I have learned through cheerleading and gymnastics to help kids learn about Christ.

We will travel from June 13-25, 2013.  Each week I participate in a cultural immersion class, where I am learning about the culture and the language.  Last week I learned that airfare increased by $1,000! You can imagine my heart sunk upon hearing this news.  So needless to say, I NEED YOUR HELP.  I HAVE TO RAISE $3,000 by May 31.

In addition to sending this letter, I am going around to my neighbors to ask fro help.  I will also use my paychecks.  I also babysit and plan to participate in a car wash to raise money.  Still, I NEED YOUR HELP!  Will you contribute financially and/or donate frequent flyer miles to ensure I get to Italy?  No amount is too small.
