Treatment Funds for my Mother Soledad Andaya Jonson’s Gastric Cancer

Good Day Everyone,

My Name is Kim Carlo A. Jonson (KC Jonson) from the Philippines. I am knocking on your generous hearts to help me and my family in our current situation.

My Mother, Soledad Jonson is currently confined at De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) located at Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines. This all started when she had problems eating solid foods, due to this, she has lost significant amount of weight. With this, we decided to have it check via "Endoscopy", giving us a result of "ADENOCARCINOMA". Having little amount of resources, during the past few months, she can only eat little by little and depends on milk for nutrients.

Until recently that her stomach started aching, she was then rushed to the Emergency Room of DLSUMC (September 24, 2017). She underwent many test such as X-rays and CT Scan, giving us the following diagnosis.

1) Thinning of Lining Esophagus (Hence the inability to eat solid food)

2) Clusters of Tissue forming around the Intestines

3) Excess Tissue (Not Entirely Sure if Tumor) forming in the Right Side Downward Colon

4) Excess Water and Air In the Abdomen Area (Gastritis)

Now we have been staying in the hospital for a week already, and we have nearly spent all our funds and resources even the ones we have borrowed initially. Due to her inability to intake foods, the only food / supplement she takes is the Dextrose and Milk like substance which roughly cost P7000 or $140. This milk normally lasts around 1 Day and Half.

Due to her current state, We opted to apply for Charity under the Hospital, this charity will waive us from paying Doctor's Professional Fees. But due to her current situation, with very slim chance of success, an operation is needed. And as her son, I don't want her to just go home without getting better knowing that there is still something we can do for her, even if it will left us full of debts. That's how much we care and love our mother. If we do decided not to opt for the operation, it will still be painful for my mother and it will just get worse and we don't want that.

Given that we will be under charity and we wont be paying Professional Fees, we still need to pay and for the current bill that is upon us before we can transfer in the charity, and there we would still need to pay for the room rate, medicine and tools that would be needed before and after the said operation. Plans are still not final, there can still be Chemo Therapy either before or after the operation.

With all this, we don't know exactly how much it would cost us, but we are doing this for the sake of my mother. We love her so much that I even ask even a little help from anyone with a big heart.
