Join me for MIT Bootcamp Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2018

I have been admitted into MIT Bootcamp for 2018(http://bootcamp.mit.edu/) which is to be held in Brisbane during February.

The Bootcamp for innovation and entrepreneurship seems to me as an amazing opportunity to meet influential mentors and people with different backgrounds united by a common goal. I have been an active participant in all the entrepreneurship activities I come across.

I want to give my best so that when I come back to India, I can be a factor to 1.3 billion people living here. There are many fields which affect more than one niche of the division of the society like Digital India or even Swach Bharat. Any section of the crowd, these affect them in one way or the other. There are various projects and facilities which are out there but due to lack of awareness, people miss out on a chance to advance in life. With the bootcamp, I want to bridge this gap by learning how entrepreneurs should look at the people and how people feel about incorporating innovation into their life. In India where 65% of the population is aged below 35, manpower and skills are not at all a problem.

How can your fund help you?

I am an avid learner and have an ability to grasp concepts very quickly. All my research and study during the bootcamp will help me hone my problem solving skills and enhance the user-centric thought process in me. I can apply all my skills, old and newly acquired after the bootcamp at your service. Apart from that, I can conduct various workshops or impart that knowledge by teaching along with my diverse experience in various fields.

I have been involved in multiple projects serving various industries. In my journey as an innovator and entrepreneur, I created a solution for my college students. Students come from every possible background and engineering books cost a lot. I connected a seller of engineering essentials and a buyer who needs it more than he wants it. This cut a lot of cost for both the sides and thus a simple technology interface solved a big problem. In another initiative to solve problems, I created attendance monitoring system for my University which is currently being deployed on the NIC servers to save paper wastage in GGSIPU. This has a side benefit of removing discrepancies between students and teachers regarding their presence in the semester as this has lead to a lot of serious incidents in our country. Apart from my initiatives, I have worked for Concierge start ups affecting a crowd of almost 50,000 customers over Delhi majorly. I won a hack-a-thon ‘Smart India Hackathon 2017’ conducted by Government of India and solution provided by my team which was 125% better than the current system The project is being implemented by Ministry of Science and Technology.

Under social entrepreneurship, I am involved in two projects

The first project named ‘Aakar’ is for providing affordable orthopaedic cushions to potential customers.Apart from the customers that bought it, the cushion makers were the major beneficiaries. Cushion makers, labour in Pitampura, made a profit of 40%. (Total profit of INR 30k)

The second project named ‘Ankuran’ is mainly aimed towards intolerable pollution in India. Our capital has been choking and the biggest problem solver right now is Vertical gardening. We have created such vertical garden and planted it on our University campus. The campus authorities have funded the project and are ready to raise more vertical gardens in the University area so that we can have cleaner and fresher air for a 1-2km radius of land in and around the campus.

Currently, I am in my final year of computer science engineering from the main campus, GGSIPU. I am also starting an internship with Ixigo where I will be helping the growth engineering team in influencing the market and providing best travel facilities and options to people.
