HEART VALVE REPLACEMENT SURGERY For My Rheumatic Heart Disease

It all started with an aching right foot. I was then a Classroom Laboratory Assistant at Saint Louis University, Baguio City, when a sudden pain beneath my right foot hindered me from going up to one of the classrooms I work in. At first, I thought it was just pain caused by fatigue. I remembered wearing thin socks, as well that day. I did not worry at first, but when the pain haven't gotten away for a week, that's the time I took some pain meds and told about it with my parents.

I'm 27 years old and was diagnosed last January 2015 with Congestive Heart Failure secondary to Rheumatic Heart Disease. I was a college instructor last December 2017 when my doctors at the Philippine Heart Center encouraged me to really undergo surgery and for the meantime, stop working, if possible. I am saving for my surgery and wanting to continue to work. But during this time, I felt the physical need to take a rest from work because of the occurrence of the side effects of my maintenance medicines and most importantly, the effects of my disease. My family, relatives and friends are of big help emotionally, encouraging and inspiring me throughout this fight of ours. They all have chipped in as well for my maintenance medicines, check-ups, and laboratory tests. Now the only thing left is for me to undergo a heart surgery to repair and replace two of my heart's valves. After my recent check up this year, my doctor is still advising me to undergo surgery as I am still physically capable of. I am knocking at your doorsteps to fund a heart surgery for a son, a brother, a friend and a teacher. Thank you all so much. God bless!
