For the last 3 years, Nikki and John have been providing transporting services across the country for animals in need.  Thanks to Facebook shelter dogs and cats are being shared and networked in order to find amazing furever homes, even if they are in another state.  Last May, Nikki drove 7 dogs and 1 tiny kitten from Longview, Texas all the way to Washington, DC!  She has transported countless animals from the DFW area to Houston, Austin, San Antonio, as well as out of state to Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Oklahoma.John and Nikki are currently fostering a Catahoula dog named Charlie and a tiny black kitten named Minnie.  Minnie was found crying in a rain gutter the day after Christmas, and Charlie was saved 30 minutes before he was scheduled to be euthanized at Fort Worth Animal Services. They typically raise money on an 'as needed basis', however occasionally they encounter emergency rescue situations that require immediate funds.  It is increasingly difficult to raise funds in a timely fashion so they can keep doing what they do; saving one animal at a time and trying to make a difference, albeit a small one.  Having access to funds also allows them to offer transporting services for free and purchase supplies necessary for transporting. The amount need has been set to $5000 as their ultimate wish is to apply as a 501(c)3 animal rescue, however there is never enough money or time to get the process going.Thank you!  Any amount is helpful!
