Johan’s Fearless Fight

To our dear friends – we humbly seek your help to include Johan in your prayers. Kindly utter a short sincere prayer for him whenever you supplicate and pray to Jehovah God. We badly need your prayers and support for him and our family.

Johan has been to several hospitals since October of last year. But for the past four (4) weeks he has been confined and admitted to two (2) hospitals staying for at least two (2) weeks. His condition worsened last week thus, the need to employ at least four (4) senior medical specialists to help him stabilize and save his life. After nine (9) days of studying the symptoms and doing some tests and procedures, the group of doctors and specialists assigned to his case finally came up with an initial diagnosis. He has a very rare systemic fungal infection that has already spread in his entire body. It caused the rapid weight loss (he already has lost 26 kilos from his usual healthy weight), internal bleeding, inflamed internal organs, fatigue, anxiety, malaise, vomiting, muscle pains, just to name a few.

Seeing Johan suffer while his health is deteriorating is really heartbreaking; we can’t really find the words to describe the heaviness we feel in our hearts. What pains us most, is seeing our youngest member of the family fight for his life despite his weakened condition, the fear we see in his eyes whenever he feels and thinks that he is breathing his last, eyes so wide and very much afraid that he is losing it.

This has been a very difficult time for us, especially for Johan and needs to be treated with all urgency and attention of his doctors.

Please help us raise funds quickly for Johan. We are now running out of funds since he has been in and out of different hospitals since October of last year. Please help us find ways how to find resources for his hospitalization and treatments. Hospital will no longer continue treating Johan if we will not settle his hospital dues soon. And, it is with all urgency that his treatments must continue.

Running balance in the hospital is now more than P1,000,000; that is just after twelve (12) days of being in the hospital and needs to be admitted with no less than fifteen (15) days more. A run-down on treatment cost and hospitalization is now around P3,000,000 (initial estimate was just P2.5M) and on top of that, based on doctor’s advice, the estimated cost of treatment and therapy in regaining back his health is around P4-5M.

For those who know Johan — he is a kind, meek, funny, quiet young boy who is loved by almost everyone he meets – young and old; even the youngest of kids. He has that warmth in his character that draws people to him. He loves to cook and help everyone. He enjoyed the company of people decades older than him and never gets bored with them. Kids love him. He is also funny, he loves his family specially his nieces so much, he enjoyed eating, he loves to cook, at home he just loves to sleep, watch cartoons and anime - he is just a simple kid with simple happiness. But his heart is so big that he can always accommodate everyone with warmth and assurance of his love and friendship.

We are doing our best to help Johan. Please, help us save him. Please.
