Hello,
My name is Joao Grilo from Brazil and I have a simple goal for this semester: I want to travel.
#1 My sister will graduate from college in late May in New York, US, and due to some financial and family issues, the closest family members won't be able to go to this important event. I don't want (and I can't) be a burden for my parents and I can't work for now because my daily routine in college is too tight. My sister lives there for 7 years now, and I saw her only three times since then.
#2 I have an opportunity to travel in an exchange program between June and August. It's a social program where I can choose to go to a country and teach kids a different language or culture from my home country and most importantly, give them hope and knowledge for becoming great individuals in the future.
And to which country I'd love to go? Kenya, Africa.
I have some other options such as Cambodia, other african countries or even eastern europe.
Of course, for these two places where I'd love to go, I can't afford any of them right now. Life is happening, opportunities are here, please help me achieve these dreams of mine.
The money raised is for buying only airplane tickets. (Yes, these things are expensive).
