Joanne’s Fighting MND Fund

In July this year (2015) I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, at the age of 26 years old. This is a horrendous disease which attacks the motor neurones in the brain and spinal chord. This leads to muscle wastage, the inability to speak, walk, grip, basically everything. In the end you lose all independence and are trapped inside your own body. There is no cure, unlike other illnesses. I have a 7 year old young son and I have set up this page in the hope that we can raise money to 'make memories'. Such as money towards holidays, days out and football matches which we both adore. I have been raising money for the MNDA since a couple of months after diagnosis and raised almost £5000 with the help of my amazing family and friends so I think it's time we do something for us and make memories to treasure as a family x
