Campaign Story
I'm competing in 'Strictly Karate' to raise funds for my sons' karate club and to send some of the kids to the JKS World Championships which are being held in South Africa in September 2015.
Along with other parents of the club's kids, I will train for seven weeks to learn a kata (a set sequence of karate moves in the Shotokan style of karate) at the local Dojo and then I'll participate in a Kata Competition on Saturday 28th February.
This is no mean feat for someone like me who's - ahem - not quite as fit or as slim as I used to be. And this is in a sport where the over-40s are classed as 'veterans'!
So please donate to raise money for this good cause... and to give me motivation every Sunday evening! I’m sure suitably embarrassing photos and stories can be shared – if you donate.
