The Project - -
I am fundraising to build an RV/Van that I will be using as a Mobile Counselling Unit.
As a Qualified Counsellor this Mobile Counselling Unit will allow me the opportunity to provide Counselling services, to help minorities that are normally shunned by society or those who do not normally have access available, or those who don't have the means to get to a counsellor, to gain the necessary help they need.
In addition to joining me in this fundraising opportunity, you will also be helping by generating the much needed awareness about "Mental Health" and contribute to making a difference in many lives along the way.
This project will consist of '3 Stages'
Personally I will be contributing money, time and labour towards this project.
I am capable of doing the majority of the work myself, I am efficient in carpentry and building.
However, I will be sourcing qualified people to handle the Power and Gas systems, also to check overall setup to regulation.
I am determined this project will succeed one way or another - your donations will ensure this will happen sooner rather than later, and with better quality and more reliable equipment.
Even small donations can lead to big differences.
Even $2 can help. If each person only donated $2 this would happen so much faster.
Thank you for your support!
STAGE 1 - Van
Purchase a suitable Van, consisting of:
- Long wheel base, with a mid-high roof
- Low kilometres
- 10 or less years old
The reason for this is, the newer and lower the millage, hopefully reduce the likelihood of any major maintenance expenses early (1-2 years) in the initiation period.
(If you know anyone that has one for sale, or would like to donate - please contact me)
STAGE 2 - Fit out
This is the process of stripping out the back of the van and fitting it out with the basics to have an operable working environment:
- Basic Power hookup
- Cabinet/seating structure
- Water Supply
STAGE 3 - Travelling
This stage consists of incorporating the necessities to operate in rural areas.
- Solar Power / Generator
My intention is to create a safe environment, for people to feel relaxed, enabling them to relinquish their negative thoughts and feelings - whereby empowering them to implement coping strategies, while finding their strengths and help them overcome their barriers.
About me :)
My strong desire to help people aids me in connecting to them and allows me to deliver the necessary support for them during their tough times, in seeing their progress it provides me with an intrinsic sense of reward and meaning.
Aided by my natural ability to understand and listen to people, I have noticed when a person becomes empowered to change their life it is both satisfying and rewarding for all involved. The opportunity and privilege to be involved in and help someone change their circumstances, overcome a life crippling mental health illness such as depression, or to become free of addiction, is such a valuable and worthwhile occupation. In addition this makes a difference to society as a whole, by helping an individual to resolve personal, psychological or social issues it will most certainly impact on family and friends and in turn will benefit many people that the individual is involved with.
Choosing to become a professional counselor
is a commitment to yourself,
to others, and to society as a whole.
The counselling environment provides a safe and confidential space where an understanding of how to successfully meet the challenges in life is explored.
Counselling is a relationship which is non-judgemental, confidential and respectful, and can enable you to examine the issues without concern of it impacting on family and friends. Family and friends may be supportive but you will avoid feeling uncomfortable or embarrassed discussing personal issues with a counsellor.
- Provide a personal and professional service
- Bring diverse experiences to the counselling relationship
- Are professionally qualified and accredited practitioners with professional bodies
- Have an awareness of cultural differences and the intergenerational tension this may cause
I have practical knowledge of the wide range of experiences that offers an opportunity for personal and professional growth.Because they have worked and continue to work in the community with marginalised groups they are non judgemental and approach people as unique individuals.

Remember: Counselling is not a lifetime commitment.
You may be surprised to learn that a problem you couldn’t shake off on your own can be dealt with in just one or a few counselling sessions. On the other hand, you may feel that regular counselling can help you find your way through life’s ups and downs.
I am based on the Gold Coast, Australia and I would like to thank everyone that supports me from out of the area and overseas.
I know I may not be in your area/country, but the RV/Camping life expands over many countries, and every country has areas that are secluded and difficult to get help to.
The people who need help the most are usually the ones that don't have access to it when they need it.
The great thing about Social Media is we can help people all over the world.
If you could please help me with a donation or share this post I would really appreciate it.
And in doing so you will be helping someone who needs it.
