What Happened to the Cleveland’s Earth Day Coalition?

Founded in 1990, the Earth Day Coalition was one of the largest environmental groups in America’s North Central region. In fact, the Earth Day Coalition played a central role organizing Ohio’s Earth Day celebrations over the past few decades.

According to the coalition’s mission statement, organizers were dedicated to providing high-quality environmental education to the local community. In the true spirit of Earth Day, members of this Cleveland-based coalition worked hard to inspire the next generation of environmental advocates with many eco-conscious activities.

Just a few concerns the Earth Day Coalition focused on include the following:

  • Green Bus Transportation
  • Air Pollution
  • GMOs
  • West Nile Virus
  • Fishing Permits
  • Electric Cars
  • Biodiesel Fuel
  • Recyclable Plastics
  • Environmental Law

What Happened to the Cleveland’s Earth Day Coalition?

In 2017, the organization’s Twitter page stopped posting updates. So did its LinkedIn page. It appears the organization closed.

If you have updates about what happened to the Earth Day Coalition, please post them in the comments section below.

EarthDayCoalition.org was once used by the organization. After it was abandoned, the website was then briefly owned by someone trying to sell tea, then when abandoned again, it was repurposed as a site to help promote all things Earth Day.
