Jing's 2nd Battle with Cancer

Hi, I am Lyka. This is a fundraising for my mom—Jing. This is her 2nd battle with cancer. Quick history about my mom. Year 2011 when she was diagnosed with Breast cancer stage 3-A. That time, mom fought hard for us. After sessions of chemo therapy and radiation therapy, she was declared cancer free a year after. That same year, we lost our dad. It was ironic. Mom was the one who has cancer yet we lost our dad. But then, life must go on.

We were happy and grateful for the 2nd life that God has given my mom. We tried so hard to take care of it. Mom avoided everything the doctor told her to avoid. She stopped eating red meat and ate fish/chicken instead. She tried plant-based diet and juicing. In short, she strive to live a healthy lifestyle.

Years passed and the thing we thought would never come back, recurred. She started to feel pain in her stomach earlier this year. Months after, she started complaining about it again. She had her stomach checked and she took meds that would lessen the pain. We thought it was just a simple stomach problem (i.e. GERD, gastritis) and that it is nothing serious. However, one night, she started to feel severe pain around her stomach and vomited continuously. We brought her to the hospital only to be sent home after taking some medicines. Months passed and she got admitted twice because of the same problem. During her first confinement, she had colonoscopy and the doctor told us it was nothing serious. The results were okay. During her 2nd confinement (which was last August), that was the time when things got really serious. She had a CT-scan on her stomach and and endoscopy days after. Results were out and it turns out her stomach wall was swollen, there was a little fluid on her lungs and she has renal cyst on her right kidney.

After a series of follow-up check ups, her doctor recommended laparoscopic surgery. She got admitted at Carmona Medical Center last Sept. 6. The surgery went well. However, the surgeon said mom's condition was not that good. After a few days, she underwent another laparoscopic surgery just to check the fluid in her stomach (because it turned greenish black when it's supposed to be red to light red/yellow) The doctor then told us that if he was going conclude everything based on what he saw during the surgery, mom only has one and a half months left. Yet, he told mom to continue fighting because based on her vital signs, the doctor said she can survive this for the 2nd time. He told us not to waste time and seek help immediately so we can proceed with the surgery, chemo, and other treatments my mom needs.

It says on her final diagnosis: PSEYDOMYXOMA PETRONITIS. MALIGNANT METASTASIS COLON r/o PELVIC MALIGNANCY. Other diagnosis: ASCITES ABDOMINAL prob. MALIGNANT.

We are grateful to everyone who has helped and still helping our family. However, we still need to prepare a huge amount of money for mom's surgery, chemo, and other treatments. Battling with cancer is never a joke especially financially speaking. In behalf of my family, we are asking for your help. Any amount will do. I am doing this because I want my mom to live longer. I don't want her previous battle to go to waste. We also believe mom could do this. Mom is a tough woman so we don't have any reason to stop fighting with her. She was able to beat cancer once. She will be able to beat it again. We are now at war with cancer and time. We don't know how much time we have left but we will still continue fighting for mom's life. Aside from financial help, prayers would also be a big help to us. I hope you can help mom fight her 2nd battle. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has helped, is helping, and will help our family. And as I always say, big or small, help is still HELP.
