Jia Ying 23rd Birthday Plant a Tree!

One random day, in a car, I saw nice strong trees growing along Singapore roads. How did such big trees grow on such a small area of grass? How nice it was that Singapore was planned to be a garden city and we are enjoying its fruits of labour :)

I started to search “how to plant a tree in Singapore” and it turns out that I can plant a tree in Singapore!

This would be a super good birthday activity and present for the following reasons:

1. Make some positive environmental impact. I admit I am selectively environmental friendly, e.g. use less plastic bags when i can, but waste water when I shower. That said, I will consciously reduce whenever I can, and planting a tree can reduce carbon footprint? :) Contribute to this tree and promise to be a little bit more conscious about the environment :)

2. This year has made me cherished life even more. A little bit about this tree is remembering a friend. Other "bits" are for the tree to serve as a reminder to do more with my life :) The tree will outgrow me and contribute more to the world for a longer period of time :) . If you contribute to the tree, I hope that you live your life to the fullest :)

3. It’s my 23rd birthday so “two tree”! Plant two-trees on my birthday? :)

In lieu of all theseee, my wish for this year bday is to plant a tree :) To my friends and family , I am having a small fund raiser! So if you wish to buy me a present, fund a part of this tree and we can make an impact together :)

FYI, i initially only wanted one tree = $200, but paypal minimum donation is $250. Hence, let's aim for two trees but one tree is good too ;)
