Jhet Navarrete’s Healing

Those who are close to her know her as Jhet, a loving friend who is always willing to help. A kind and caring mom to a 16-year-old lady and a 5-year-old boy and a sweet and loving wife. To me, she is an inspiration, a sister who is always there to listen and extend a helping hand, and a beacon of courage and strength.

In 2019, she was diagnosed with Invasive Mammary Carcinoma AKA Breast Cancer (Stage 1). She was healthy still and fighting it until July 2020 when she started feeling worse. She lost weight rapidly and experienced pain on the right side of her body from chest down to her toes. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to caution from sending her to the hospital for fear of getting infected. She had teleconsultation sessions and was supposed to start with her tests when suddenly, last September 24, 2020, as she was seated on the floor and tried to move slightly to her right, she started screaming in pain. I was with her, just a few inches away. I can feel her pain as she started crying. We immediately brought her to the nearest hospital and there we found out that she suffered an Oblique Displaced Fracture on her right femur. She now needs to undergo surgery for her right femur, spend some time recovering then start battling her breast cancer.

Words cannot describe how proud I am of my sister. She has been through the worst pain imaginable, but she has fought through it all. She has always been supportive of my decisions, helped me whenever I needed it and has given me much guidance that helped me become the better person I am today. She was always generous, never selfish.

These are only some of the reasons why I would like you to help us help her heal fully so she may continue to be a kind and caring mom, a sweet and loving wife, and to continue to be a beacon of strength and courage for us and everyone.

It doesn't matter how much nor how little you give. Any help you extend will help her inspiring light shine brighter. The proceeds will go to her surgery and recovery expenses and for her upcoming cancer treatments.
