Campaign Story
Jennifer Marie Cochran tragically left us on Thursday December 22nd, 2016. Everyone who was touched by her joy, laughter, and love are mourning the loss of such an amazing young woman. Jenn was a wonder, a selfless giver, and had an unparalleled zest for life. She was a mental health counselor, a mother to her dog, Lucy, an astronomy enthusiast and a proud former member of the United States Air Force. She was a friend, a sister, and a daughter. She is loved dearly and her family, friends and community are in shock after losing her at such a young age.
She was famous for her positive attitude, her ability to give all of herself and her constant thirst for knowledge. She amassed quite a number of achievements in her short 34 years. Her friends could always count on her to bring positivity and light to any situation. Everyone who knew her knew that no one could speak quite as fast as her or with as much passion. Her family describes her as their "rock" and that she could brighten up any room with her smile. Through all this, though, Jennifer was dealing with interstitial cystitis (IC), pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD), and chronic pain. She lived through many surgeries and dealt with many doctors to get healthy. But you would never know this if you just met her.
To quote Jennifers favorite band, Oasis:
“Stand up beside the fireplace, take that look from off your face; You ain’t ever gonna burn my heart out."
In her short 34 years she was our "Wonderwall". To all that were blessed enough to be in her presence she was truly a magnificent person. It will never be the same without her but she would have wanted us to remember her in times of happiness and health.
We are asking for donations to help her family cover funeral expenses and settling her final affairs. She is currently in Utah and needs to be cremated and brought home to her mother in Tennessee. Jennifer was a proud Veteran, but the VA will only cover a very small portion of the costs. Anything that may be covered is done through a lengthy reimbursement process. Thank you for your kind and generous donations. Whatever you can do to ensure our girl has a peaceful transition will be greatly appreciated.

I had the privilege of getting to know Jennifer last year. We had gone out a few times, constantly challenged each other at bowling, hung out at the planetarium and shared our enjoyment of good food and good conversation. I loved every moment of it and wish we could have had many more moments like that. I was extremely sad when I heard the news over Christmas weekend. I don't let a lot of people into my little world, but she was easy to open up to. A genuinely real person and a beautiful mind. Sorry my donation is so late, please put it to good use in her remembrance. I wish I could have done more.

I know depression is a horrible situation. I lost my brothers because of suicide. I hope someone would help me if ever . I needed it IC needs a cure!

In honor of her spirit not only as an IC patient but also as a US military veteran. She no longer suffers. She flies with the angels. She will be remembered with honor, love and kindness.

I just found out about this so I still want to donate. We were stationed together at Hill AFB and deployed together. We stayed friends after.
