Jeffrey Santos Diabetes Surgery

Hello everyone! We are the Santos family and asking for you guys to help donate for the surgery of our family member, Jeffrey Santos.

He is currently diagnosed with diabetes. He was a manager before at McDonald’s and resigned just last year because he couldn’t work well due to his condition. He no longer have his life insurance from McDonald's and were all used from his past medications as well as with his two sons’ allowance. All he have right now are: his wife who is a canvaser at a superstore and is not yet regular. Her monthly salary is enough only for their daily expenses. His brother who is also looking for help because he got nothing more to share for his brother’s expenses after all the previous medications and his uncle who is only a part time worker. We cannot run for any other’s help because we only have a small family. Both of his parents died already as well as their relative that we also have trusted for his past medications.

His current critical condition began with a small wound on his right sole (which he didn’t notice & his feet were numb enough to feel such pain) until they noticed scattered blood on their floor. They found a rusty nail on his sole which he got while walking his son to school and didn't feel that he stepped on a nail. Then the wound became larger the following days and covered with pus due to the bacteria and the lack of medicine intakes.

We helped him to have his surgery many times and the doctor recommended us to cut his leg to stop the bacteria from running on his body but our patient did not allow us to do so. So all we did was to help him with his hospital and medicine expenses and clean his wound with pus (first wound was treated then few weeks later, another wound was found on the same foot but on his metatarsophalangeal joint or the neck of his big toe. It was found on his X-Ray that the bacteria already ate his bones that is why his feet are numb and could’t walk properly). We’ve been through a lot of expenses to cure his wounds that we almost gave our all to treat him but this time we don't have enough money to raise for his upcoming medications. We have the same treatment cycle and yet his wounds are not healing, it is preferred to have his leg operation by removing them to prevent the bacterias from running on his body

As per his current condition aside from diabetes, he also have pneumonia which until now is active. His kidney already have a defect due to his previous medicine intakes that is why he usually vomits his food. His testicles are swollen for he does not pee for a day and his water intakes are going straight to his balls (he is currently wearing adult diapers), he could not walk well because his bones are weak enough to carry his body, there are days his heart is not beating and there are days that it is beating so fast.

Now, we are asking for your help to donate for his upcoming medication because after the surgery the following expenses will be bigger. A lot of required medicine costs too much and we don't know where are we going to get such huge amount of money for this. We asked for government's help but we all think it is still not enough. Diabetes is one of the most expensive illness and this is something we could not set aside. We are afraid if we could not proceed his surgery, we don’t want him get poisoned by the bacterias he have on both of his legs. Photos shown are only few that we could release (th last photo was when he was not yet diagnosed with diabetes), we still need to ask permission if we could upload his wounds that are still fresh and not yet treated.

Again, we are hoping for your help! We are doing this for him to have a longer life, he still needs to see his two sons grow. Both of his sons are still young (10 years old and 1 year old). This could mean a lot to cure our family member and help someone's life extend longer. Everyone is welcome and we are accepting any amount you could donate.
