Campaign Story
Needing some help with jeffs medical bills, he will be out of work for at least 4 months. November 7th, 2017 at 12:30pm he was rushed to the Emergency Room with excruciating pain. At 7pm that night he went into emergency surgery. Come to find out he had a diverticulitis attack. After he came out of surgery he was transferred to ICU where the next morning he was put on a ventilator. The doctors, nurses, family all lost hope because on Thursday November 9th 2017 his body went into septic shock. His kidneys shut down everything was shutting down. The nurse told us that his body is declining quick. That was the hardest thing to hear. The next day he came right out of that and kidneys started working a little better. Things were starting to look up. Jeff was on the ventilator for little over a week. He finally started moving on Sunday November 12th 2017. He just moved his head a little bit from side to side. He finally fully woke up on November 15th 2017. After ICU we were sent to another unit where he stayed for 3 days. After that he was sent to Rehab to get his strength back and start walking again. Rehab is currently where he resides as of now. November 24th 2017 he finally went down to get all the fluid out of his lungs and chest. This has been a very rough road. Hopefully he will be out of the hospital before Christmas. Just keep on praying for Jeff he is a true fighter we have made it this far he will continue to get better!!
Update: Jeff is home and is recovering well! We have a long process for full recovery but we will make it through!! He is getting his strength and appetite back!
