JAYKE’S TOP SURGERY

Hey guys!

My name's Jayke. I'm 25years old, and I'm transgender (female to male; pre-op). I started testosterone on the 24th of April 2018, thus marking the start of my physical transition. And had my name changed officially on the 2nd of May 2018. Being on testosterone has increased my quality of life tremendously, I’ve never felt this happy about myself.

I’ve decided that it’s time to take my next step in my physical transitioning; TOP SURGERY (chest masculinization). This is something that I've been dying to have done for so long, and I just can't wait any longer. I have so many more personal goals I want to achieve and its time I strike off this one of my list.

I have been sourcing for a hospital that would do TOP SURGERIES at an affordable price. The first country most would think of would be Bangkok, Thailand. I thought so too, I was set on going to Bangkok for my surgery. Until I found out from friends within the community that someone has been to Penang,Malaysia for his surgery at a much much much reduced surgery fee.

Rough estimation of surgery fee in thailand: $5000-8000 SGD
$3650-$5850 USD

Estimation of surgery fee in Penang:
$8000-$10000 RINGGIT
$1939-2414 USD

Massive difference there. The hospital that I’ll be going to is Penang Adventist Hospital. I’ve done my research and it’s a private hospital and the surgeons there were trained in the states.

I’ll be heading to Penang next Wednesday the 19th of September and will be heading to the hospital’s clinic on Thursday morning. I’ll be having my consultation with the surgeon, if all goes well, and the surgeon has a free schedule for the next day or so, I’ll be having my surgery then.

Ill be going to penang alone and on a very tight Budget. I’ll be booking a one way flight ticket, staying at a backpacker’s hostel. I found one for $7 per night.

I am crowdfunding for another $500 minimum as I fear I do not have enough for extra surgery fees such as the anesthesiologist's fee, consultation fee and post-op medicine if any.
