JAYDE ORCHARD – PROSPECTIVE YOUNG SOCCER PLAYER

I am Jayde Orchard, I am a 15 year old student, who is passionate about my soccer.

My soccer enthusiasm started 4 years ago (2018) when I was asked to play for our school team at Delta Park in Blairgowrie. I was instantly hooked. That year, I was chosen to attend the VW Tournament, which happens every 2 years. This was an experience, which drove me with more passion. I didn’t make the team, but it was definitely a motivation. Unfortunately, our school team dissolved, so I then joined the Old Parks Ladies Team, under Coach Greg Green’s supervision.

In 2021, Coach Greg moved over to Panorama Football Club to start a Ladies Team. There were 2 x teams, The Rand Central Team and the Regional Team. I played in both the teams last year. This was the first time the Club had had Ladies Teams.

I was chosen to played in the Soncini Tournament, which was held in 2021. Once again, the experience gained was immense.

At the beginning of 2022, I was invited to join the Gammon University Girls Soccer Camp, which was held at St Stithian’s College in Randburg on Saturday, 26^th & Sunday, 27^th February 2022. This camp was absolutely amazing and the scouts & coaches from America were top class. This will definitely be one of my first choices of places to go, once I have finished my matric in 2 years’ time.

In 2022, I was/am part of the Ladies Regional Team at Panorama. On the 3 June 2022, I was at a training session and we were playing a mini match against the Rand Central Team, when I was injured and my left ACL was damaged and my left shoulder was dislocated, but it managed to “pop” back into place.

After being taken to Casualty that evening and subsequently having to have an ACL Reconstructive Surgery on Monday, 20^th June 2022, this was very unexpected.With medical aid being exhausted and now having to pay co-payments, MRI’s, X-rays, Orthopedic Surgeon, physio’s, the brace for my knee and everything that goes with surgeries, etc, has made it very difficult to get the medical attention that I need in order to be able to continue with my rehabilitation.

I know that it is a difficult time for many people, but I am requesting your help and assistance with some of the current expenses we have as well as the on-going physio therapy, bio-kinetic therapy, which will be needed at a later stage (rehab is going to take around 9 months).

I am determined that I will be stronger and fitter and even better than before, if I am able to get assistance with the rehabilitation that is required in the next couple of months.

My goal and dream is to play Professional Soccer - watch this space & name.
