Jasmine & Brent’s Honeymoon

Hi everyone instead of bringing presents to our wedding we ask that you consider donating to our honeymoon fund. We would first like to thank you for taking the time to consider this. Let me just explain why we are attempting to do this at the risk of seeming tacky. We desperately need this trip and I would argue that we deserve it!! We have never had the opportunity to travel together or go on any type of vacation together. As most of you know I (Jasmine) am i full time college student and I graduate with my Bachelors in Social Work in May. This may be our only chance to be able to something like this for a long time. . We are short on funds due to transportation issues that we face having only one car. Our schedules revolve around each other’s. I cannot pick up any extra hours due to my school schedule being so full, 18 credit hours and a 500 hour internship at a juvenile detention center in Buffalo ( I know I'm crazy right?). Brent also, cannot pick up any extra hours due to being our source of transportation and because he has his daughter on weekends.

I know that you may be thinking "why can't you wait to get married until you have the funds to have the wedding/honeymoon you truly want?" Trust me i have already thought of this as we have pushed the wedding back twice now. (Much to Brent's dismay) The truth is my dad starts dialysis very soon and his health issues are very scary. I want my dad to walk me down the aisle. He has had the song we are going to dance to picked out since the day i was born. I cannot imagine getting married without my daddy being there. The other reason is because Brent and I know that we are ready for this and we do not want to wait anymore. Instead of giving us wedding gifts or we would greatly appreciate you considering donating to our honeymoon fund instead. Don’t get me wrong we love gifts (who doesn’t?) but, we already have most of the household items we need as we already live together. Anything little bit will help.

Where we are going: Virginia Beach, VA.

When we leave: June 12^th, 2016

What your contribution will go towards: Travel fees (food & gas while on the road), hotel fees, attraction fees and most importantly our first memories as husband and wife!
