Jarry and friends

I am a proud great grand aunt to an amazing little man 11 year old Jarrad who is blind and autistic and has many other health issues. Although Jarrad has no light in his life he is the light of our life and anyone who has the privilege of getting to know him.

Jade (Jarrad’s mom) who without any formal nursing or training has done an amazing job of raising him but life has been very hard on her as she has been unable to go out to work as she has to look after Jarry 24/7 and has to rely on a very small government grant.

Jade and her husband (who is currently unemployed) and their 2 boys live in a small back room in a family member’s yard. Although they are very grateful for this it is totally unsuitable for them.

What we are looking for is help to make Jarrad and other children like him live just a little more comfortable. Jade would like to open up a daytime care facility as there is nothing available in Cape Town for children who are both blind and autistic and we feel that Jade having looked after Jarry for 11 years is more than qualified to run such a facility and there are quite a few children who have Jarrads condition.

If only we could find someone who would fund us to find a home for Jade and her little family and enable us to open a care facility for little angels like Jarrad.

Ideally a house that is large enough for a day care facility for about 6 children. If we could find someone to help with this then they would have a home for themselves and would be able to make an income from running the care centre.

Unfortunately I am unable to assist them as I am a pensioner but would greatly appreciate any help we can get for this little family.
