Japan Top Ten Peaks Challenge for New Dog Shelter

We are a group of crazy ultra-runners embarking upon an epic journey: Climbing Japan's 10 highest peaks from Mt. Fuji, through the South Alps, across to the North Alps, culminating with a dawn Daikiretto traverse over to Yarigatake in one massive trail run that will be over 330km, with over 22,000m of elevation gain.

As part of the challenge, we will be raising funds for a new dog shelter in Japan, called Jazzy Dog Japan (http://www.jazzydog-japan.com). Jazzy is a local NPO with a mission--to reduce the number of stray and culled dogs in Japan. They are doing this via running a state-of-the-art rescue dog shelter and training facility. Jazzy Dog is located on a large, beautiful mountain in Nagawa-cho, Nagano. To scale up their impact, they are raising funds to construct a larger facility where they can rescue more dogs and work with the public to raise awareness and increase support for animal welfare.
