Hi everyone! My name is Liaan Ehlers from South Africa, and in a nutshell it’s my dream to eventually permanently move to Japan to do missionary work there.
I am currently in the process of seeking out financial partners who share my dream and passion for sharing the Gospel. I had the opportunity to go there last year this time for six weeks and I was simply blown away by the loving and humble nature of the people there.
If I wasn’t already in love with the country and its people, I certainly would have been after that! I will definitely eventually have a monthly income which could support me over a long time period in Japan, but that’s not what this fundraiser is about. You see I’m currently struggling to make ends meet and continue finding partners due to a series of unfortunate coincidences regarding my health, as well as car troubles.
I would like to humbly ask, if you feel God has placed an amount in your heart to give, it will be an absolutely amazing blessing. I’ve set the donation goal as $10,000 as while I certainly am not in that much financial trouble I believe God provides abundantly and am acting in faith.
I cannot offer any rewards, unfortunately as my time is totally consumed by studying both Japanese and ministry training as well as searching for partners.
What your donations will be used for:
$1,000 – Complete repairs to my car with some cash left over to also pay some much needed paint work in my apartment.
$2,000 – The above plus I can afford to do partnership raising trips around the country and not just in Cape Town!
$3,000 – The above, plus I can do a short term mission of three weeks to Japan again in the next few months! This will be fantastic as it would allow me to check up on some of the amazing friends I made and help with some counselling cases I’ve been doing over Skype.
$4, 000 The above, but the mission will be for six weeks!
$5,000 Mission trip for two months!
Anything above that will be placed in a high interest savings account which I will then use to buy some necessities for when I move permanently to Japan (things like a fridge, bed basic furniture, etc.)
Thank you so much for reading, and God bless!
