Japan Beyond Toyko | Documentary

Japan is a beautiful country, with so much to see and do. Sadly, most people who travel to Japan, miss out on a lot of the unique features, as they stick to only the major cities.

At Off The Track Japan, we focus on trying to get people to travel to the unknown, and explore cities, towns and villages, many people haven't even heard of. We want people to do this, because we believe that every location has its own unique experience waiting for you!

We are wanting to make a documentary called 'Japan Beyond Tokyo' which will showcase the beautiful aspects of the Japanese rural districts, to aims to encourage visitor to Japan to get off the track, and explore new places, interact with new people, and to get an Authentic Japanese experience.

Filming for this documentary will is set to take place in August 2018 (providing we reach out funding goal), with an expected release date of December 2018. We will hold an early screening for this documentary for anyone who donates $50+. This will take place 2 weeks prior to public release. This documentary is not intended for monetary gain and will be release to the public on many platforms such as YouTube, and our Website www.offthetrackjapan.com

We are not being paid by any studio, or any attraction, prefecture, government organizations. All funding is to be done solely by crowd funding.

We are wanting to raise $10,000 USD total for this project.

Here's how to funding will be distributed;

$3,000 - Camera Equipment ( 4k Camera, Drones, Lighting etc)

$5,000 - Travel Expenses (We intend to film all around Japan, and getting from place to place in rural Japan is quite costly, as towns are few and far between)

$1,000 - Translation services (Most of our staff speak Japanese, but we want to hire a translator to get 100% accurate translations)

$1,000 - Reserve fund (In case we run into any unforeseen expenses)
