Japan Abroad Study!

Konnichiwa! My name is Tara I am hoping to go to Japan the Summer of 2014! It is been my dream since a small child to go to Kyoto Japan and now it is finally possible with your help! I am doing this through my college but Financial Aid does not cover the trip. It is up to me to find the money to go! I work as much as I can and go to college but with bills I do not think I can save up enough. That is where you come in!

So the 3,400 I am raising is going towards:

Japanese warlords and modern media

Travel dates: May 26- June 9^th, 2014

Application deadline: February 1, 2014

Trip summary: This course will take students on a historical journey focusing on the old capital of Kyoto, through temples and castles, streets and battlefields as they retrace the footsteps of infamous warlords and samurai who continue to influence modern Japanese culture and entertainment. Students will apply these experiences and observations to examinations of contemporary interpretations of the Warring States Period through literature, TV shows, including anime, and performing arts. This trip will be co-led by CPCC and A-B Tech faculty as part of a study abroad consortium.

Costs: $3400

Program fee includes: 

International airfare from Charlotte, local transportation, accommodations, some meals, travel insurance, entrance to historical sites per itinerary.
