Depression is just nonsense. But I was wrong when it hits me harder than I couldn’t imagine. After I resigned from my last job in 2018, I went back home and build some small businesses. I tried internet retailer on Facebook, I joined in two MLM companies, I traded bitcoins, I invested in farming, and I tried loan business but they took my money and run away. Then suddenly the coronavirus hits all of us unprepared. I was planning to establish another kind of business that time but I was shocked to find out that I’m running out of cash really fast. Instead of building a business, I save it for our food because business is no good when it’s all lockdown and no trade is going in or out. I was so upset because all my business and plans are all failed or ruined. Then the depression kicks in, I started to doubt myself and the future. I was talking to myself and asking why all of these are happening right now? I locked myself in my room and afraid of almost everything and not trusting anyone. To be honest I was alone since Dec. 25 till new year simple because there’s nothing much in my fridge. And as of February 05, I already spend my last paper money to buy food it was half pizza and half quesadillas. While eating and enjoying my food I suddenly realized that the combination of shawarma pizza and shawarma quesadillas was so good then I heard in my mind saying “food” and “Mass Com” and I said to myself of my God is this some kinda planned for me for the whole time?

Hi, my name is Jansen I am a chef with almost 11 years of experience but before I became a chef, I was a Mass Communication student in a college but I drop-out on my 4th year second semester for some reason. I was shocked when I heard the word food and mass com in my mind. And the first thing that I can think of is YouTube food channel. I can be the Chef who teaches everybody in front of my camera, and I can be the one-man production crew or staff at the back of the camera. It’s a good combination but I have a problem… oh I mean challenges because sometimes if we say problem, we may think that there is no solution to it. It’s like the end of the world but it’s. This is one of my lessons when I finally realized or awaken. So here are my challenges and I hope you can help me with this

1 I need to pay my monthly utility bills like electric, water, and internet

2 I need fresh ingredients I only have 2 spams, 2 meatloaves, 1 corn beef, and uncooked barley in the fridge.

3. I need kitchen tools. For example, stockpot, pressure cooker, steamer, colander, and many more.

I do have a single stove that you can put it any flat surface the brand is Asahi. I believe this one is 11 year or more. The dial is broken but still, it can light up.

4. I also need types of equipment for a production like a good camera, stand, and etc. By the way, somebody already donated 2 lightboxes and black apron so shout out to those who donated it.

5. And above up, I don’t have any paper money left. That’s why I need your support and help so that I can start all over and stand again on my own feet.

You have to understand that it takes times before YouTube can monetize your channel. That’s why I need your support not just for one month but least 6 months or so it depends when they will monetize my channel.

My channel is about food and I will share some tips and strategies to make your life easy when cooking. I will also discuss the differences between 2 recipes and which one is the best. I will also challenge myself to create things that are related to food. I will also explore some food that I never try it before… and many more to come so support me not in this platform also in my upcoming YouTube channel.

The support that you will give it to me will not be wasted. Because If I’m successful on this journey, I will share it and help other people either by donating to a foundation or build my own foundation. If I ever build a foundation, I will name it “Quick Response Chef foundation” the aim of this foundation is to send a group of chefs to the nearest disaster area and to cook for victims especially after the typhoon hits. Because I found out that most of the donors donated canned goods, packs of noodles, and etc. but that thing is, all their things are wiped out. Meaning no stove, no gas, pots, pan, even plates and utensils. They need food and water because they’ve been sitting or laying on the rooftop of their house for more than 24 hours. I believe food can lift up their feeling and energy. This is the only way I can help them in their current situation. We may have differences but we all live in our home and that is our mother earth.

Thank you in advance

Love, Hope, Light
