Medimotion Exercise Bike for Wheelchair User

Amount needed: £5000

Hello! My name is Janette, I am 45 years young and I'm wheelchair bound as I was born with Cerebral Palsy . I have two children, my daughter is 20 and my Son is 5. Two years ago, I was injured in a Taxi who didn't slow down when going over a speed bump. It resulted in a pulled Muscle in my thigh. I spent months recovering on my bed, and since then I've struggled with Arthritis in my right Ankle and cannot spend long periods in my Chair. I need regain muscle power and leg movement. The weight gain has hindered me and I really want to tackle this problem. I want my life and my independence back. This will only be achieved if I work hard.

Last year I started renting a Medimotion Exercise Bike (that I was later hoping to purchase), so that I could get my fitness level back to one that enables me to stay mobile and independent. I am currently trying to lose weight with the aid of my bike. The last thing I want is to end up needing a Hoist, so my aim is to stay as active as I possibly can. This bike provides me with a way to do so.

The Medimotion full body exercise bike is perfect for me. Not only can I use it from my Wheelchair, but the settings suit my Disability. I can exercise both my arms & legs, It has many different speeds and settings, and Self operating foot pads. The downside is that it costs over £5000 to buy. I just can't afford to keep paying. This is my life line to keeping fit and mobile, having it over the past year has really helped me to gain confidence, and fight for some of my independence back. Because I can't keep paying, it has been collected and sold elsewhere, so I'm trying to raise the money to purchase one outright. Thank you to all that donate to my page, I really wish & hope that you kind people will help me turn my life around and help myself to keep independent & healthy!

THANK YOU XXX Janette xxx

I would like to thank those that have donated so far. All I want In life is to be able to move and get in and out of bed. In and out of a car and transfer totally independent like I used to. At the moment I can do none. . . . .
